On Dec. 17, 2021, Crumbl Cookies opened a store in Manchester.  The unique flavors and customizable combinations set Crumbl apart from any other cookie shop nearby.

Crumbl is open every day of the week except Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to midnight on weekends. The inside of the store is modern, with a clear view of the kitchen where customers can watch their cookies being made.  Watching the employees make the cookies definitely added to the experience; I was able to see every step of the cookie-making process, from mixing the dough to the application of frosting

The comforting smell of freshly-baked cookies hits you immediately as you walk into the store. The recent increase in the store’s popularity on TikTok explains the massive lines to even get in and purchase cookies.

Being able to customize your order is one aspect of the store that sets it apart from other bakeries, as I was able to choose the perfect combination of flavors. Inside, customers can choose their custom cookies by ordering through touch screens lining the walls. I choose from a box with four cookies, six cookies, and 12 cookies.   The tablets also helped increase the efficiency of ordering, as I was able to carefully choose which cookies I wanted without increasing the wait time of other customers.

I would say that the size of the store was not large enough to hold all the customers, which made it difficult to socially distance, especially given that I went on a crowded weekend.  Although the line was long, the wait time was quicker than expected.

This past week, six cookies were available to choose from: Funfetti, Peanut Butter Cup, Caramel Popcorn, Rocky Road, Milk Chocolate Chip, and Classic Pink Sugar.  Two cookies, Milk Chocolate Chip and Funfetti, were sold out upon arrival.  However, I was still able to try and review the remaining four.

My favorite was Rocky Road.  It consisted of a chocolate cookie with marshmallow filling, along with almonds and chocolate chips sprinkled on the top. The chocolate base added to the flavor without overpowering the other ingredients, creating the perfect combination of flavors.  Although the Classic Pink Sugar Cookie is Crumbl’s most famous cookie, I wouldn’t recommend it over the other flavors I tried.  The pink frosting adds to the flavor, but the sweetness takes over the cookie.

The Caramel Popcorn cookie is a sugar cookie topped with caramel and caramel popcorn. The popcorn added a crunchy texture, while the caramel added flavor.  This unique cookie flavor tasted better than expected.

The Peanut Butter Cup cookie is a peanut butter cookie stuffed with Reese’s peanut butter cups and topped with peanut butter chips and more Reese’s cups. The peanut butter flavor was overwhelming, but I would definitely recommend it to peanut butter lovers.

Overall, I would give Crumbl Cookies a positive review and I recommend trying it. The size of the cookies as well as the unique designs and flavors set Crumbl Cookies ahead of other bakeries, making it a clear choice to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth.
