The KO Girls A Basketball Team Finds Success

In the Middle

The Kingswood Oxford girls A basketball team revved their engines into a fiery start, and finishing with a nice 5-2 record. As they began to play more experienced teams, games were harder and tougher. As their season comes to an end, they look back and reflect on their experiences.

Assistant Coach Sharon Migdal always made sure that the team was ready for the next game and knew that her girls would power through. “They all love each other and get along and also push each other. They always support each other and remind everyone if they miss something. They are all really hard working and care about the team,” she said.

Coach Migdal has been excited to work and play with the team every day. “I want to make sure that they remember to stay calm, and stay patient. Players usually just want to shoot quickly but really you want to keep the ball moving around,” she said.

Eighth grader Sofia Garza, recognizes their losses but also knows that they also had more wins. “I think it was a good season but we have lost a few games so that has brought us down a little bit,” she said.

The team has many new athletes that have been playing well even though they were just starting out. “I think we had a good season but we have lost a few games so that has brought us down but we continue to work hard,” said eighth grader Alex Doering.

This team continuously tried their best and had many important wins over the season. The games were exciting and the crowds enjoyed cheering for the team.
