KO gives a warm welcome to Mr. Gonzalez

Features

The KO community is delighted that new Middle School science teacher Jeffrey Gonzalez has joined the KO community this year. Mr. Gonzalez has taught science at multiple schools for the past 18 years and looks forward to bringing enthusiasm and passion for science to the classroom.

Mr. Gonzalez graduated from Alderson Broaddus University, located in West Virginia, and has taught at a range of schools, from as near as Hartford to as far as South Korea. For the past six years, Mr. Gonzalez has been teaching at an all boys’ boarding school in Westbrook, where the lessons were one-on-one. He is glad to be teaching at KO because it is a departure from what he has been doing for the past several years, and his new position will also allow him to spend more time with his family.

Along with teaching, Mr. Gonzalez is also excited to serve as a coach for the Middle School boys basketball and baseball teams, sports that he has been playing for most of his life. Along with basketball and baseball, Mr. Gonzalez’s other passions include rock climbing, biking, and other outdoor activities.

Mr. Gonzalez’s goal for the school year is to build a curriculum that he can continue to develop in the coming years, as well as to get back into the mindset of teaching bigger classes. We know that Mr. Gonzalez will be a great addition to the KO Middle School and look forward to seeing him around campus!
