After a long tenure with the KO News crew, we bid farewell to senior Jaden Weinstein, a passionate and inquisitive writer for the sports section.
Jaden’s first introduction to the world of writing articles was in his journalism class. “I first took journalism because writing articles for the school seemed particularly interesting to me,” Jaden said. “I’m really glad I made that decision. I’ve had a lot of fun writing for the KO News.”
Jaden chose to write for the sports section because of his passion for the subject and also because of his background, as he is a tri-varsity athlete for the soccer, squash, and tennis teams at KO. Jaden also loves to watch sports in his free time, particularly football and basketball.
Although Jaden has written several types of articles during his tenure on the paper, his favorite to write are senior spotlights. “It’s really interesting to see my classmates’ achievements,” he said, “and whenever I interview them, it’s like their face lights up as they talk about their sport.”
Looking back on his time with the News, Jaden says that his writing has improved greatly, and he’ll never forget the experiences he’s had writing articles. “I’ll especially miss the friendships I made with the staff,” Jaden said, “as well as the feeling of finishing a well-polished article.”
While we are certainly sad to bid farewell to such an influential staff member, we wish Jaden the best of luck in his future endeavors!
