Being a teacher at KO comes with a lot of responsibilities, and teachers are also simultaneously balancing everything they do in their personal life. So one might assume that their outfits may fall short from time to time. Upper School math teacher Sandi Goss disproves this myth and always finds time to dress her best.
When it comes to choosing her outfits every morning, Ms. Goss tries to choose something that will be both comfortable and keep her warm. She also enjoys featuring some of her accessories such as boots, belts, and necklaces. “One necklace that I wear most of the time would be my dragonfly necklace,” she said. “My daughter gave it to me, and I love the meaning on the back which says ‘With brave wings she flies.’”
The main statement piece of Ms. Goss’s outfits would definitely have to be belts. “I have some pretty funky belts,” she said. Since she prefers more toned-down colors in her outfits, she always tries to include a belt that will stand out. “Belts and boots are more my vibe,” she said when describing her favorite accessories.
Normally, Ms. Goss finds that she prefers earth tones such as greens, browns, and occasionally a darker blue. Although she does enjoy a pop of color such as pink, she finds that these darker and more neutral tones suit her better.
When forming an outfit, she works her way down, starting with a top and from there choosing what looks best with it and what will be most comfortable throughout the entire day.
Ms. Goss encourages people to step out of their comfort zone with their outfits, while still staying comfortable. Just like she has found those accessories that make or break her outfits, she finds that they can be all you need to spice up an everyday outfit.
