During senior Nidhi Bhat’s time on the KO News, she has been a crucial part of the staff. She started working on the KO News her sophomore year, and now works as the Head Web Editor. It is not a very well-known role, but it is vital in order to ensure the newspaper runs effectively and efficiently.
“I upload all the articles on the KO News website, so when you go on the website, that’s all what I’ve uploaded,” Nidhi said. Nidhi has access to all the articles for the month and uses the WordPress software to upload content to the website.
Nidhi knew she wanted to be a part of the KO News, but did not want a huge commitment due to her schoolwork and extracurriculars. So, she decided to become a Web Editor, and has loved being one ever since she stepped into the role. “It’s a pretty small role, but it’s really nice seeing everyone’s writing before I upload it,” Nidhi said.
Nidhi encourages students to apply for the Web Editor role, partially because the staff is shorthanded, butalso because it is a great way to be involved in the KO News without a huge time commitment.
